I have been thinking about your work on monarchs for the past few weeks as I watched a monarch visit the flowers. ❤ LikeLiked by 1 person I’ve only spotted two monarchs so far, but the milkweed is gaining new heights each day and I hope to see more of our regal beauties soon… Blessings and love to you, Carol. ❤ LikeLiked by 1 person ❤ LikeLiked by 1 person What an inviting space. I shall need a mighty strimmer to get it all under control! Have a lovely rest of June. xx LikeLiked by 3 people It’s always a gift to hear from you, Helen. We’ve had torrential rain here in North Wales and the garden is growing more quickly than I can keep up with it. And now I hear we’re in for a heatwave starting Thursday! Love and blessings, my friend 💛🧡 LikeLiked by 3 people Dear Izzy, it’s lovely to hear from you. It will finally be getting warmer here, too. Of course, I hated pulling weeds!;-) LikeLiked by 4 people Dave, I love it when you share stories from your childhood. 🙂 Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. ❤ LikeLiked by 1 person Interestingly, I enjoyed pulling weeds, even as a kid. I found it relaxing and liked the idea of providing a little help for the fruits and vegetables to grow. 😎 LikeLiked by 2 people Thank you so much for sharing such delightful childhood memories. ❤ LikeLiked by 1 person You are not the first person to tell me this, believe me. I hear you. I just wish I had this take on pulling weeds, way back when, it would have made it so much more enjoyable!;-) LikeLiked by 2 people your blooms offer beauty on both sides of the fence, Carol 🙂 LikeLiked by 3 people Your words offer kindness to all who are fortunate enough to connect with you, dear David. The blooming of flowers reminds us that we are still here, still blooming and growing – evolving, if we slow down to see and appreciate the mirror it can be for us. So much purple and pink! Lovely! Such a difference from the snowy and icy photos from last winter. I bet your gardens give joy to the walkers passing by. Take care. LikeLiked by 4 people Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments, Bob. It’s always surprising to see what survives the winters here. This year, the lilacs, phlox and lupine are amazing, along with the earliest bloomers – dandelions and creeping charlie – that provide the bees with food. 🙂 LikeLike Such beautiful photos. And a big change from Winter, isn’t it? Two different kinds of beauty. 😎 LikeLiked by 3 people Thank you so much for your thoughtful, lovely comments. ❤ In the past, I would probably have said that winter is my favorite season, but I'm not sure that's true any more… 🙂 LikeLiked by 1 person I’m not sure if I have a favorite season. There are aspects of each I love. As a child I’m sure I would have said Summer was my favorite – no school, more time to play (especially outside), going to the beach, baseball games, the “ice cream man”, staying up late to watch television… 😀 But as an adult I love the flowers blooming in Spring (especially after the relative grey of Winter), the weather of Autumn (warm days and cool nights, perfect for outdoor work) and the solace of Winter. I did more writing in Winter over the years than any other season. It seemed I was more retrospective and serene. As for Summer, I love sunny days and enjoy feeding peanuts to squirrels, crows and blue jays and bread to pigeons and small birds, but I don’t like sweating for days at a time (I spend a lot of time in a NYC apartment without air conditioning) and the lower quality air that, since I’m “older”, affects my breathing. 😎 Thank you for another beautiful post.
