Carol A. Hand
Being in the moment for a moment
Simply observing
as a busy ladybug climbs a blade of grass
I smile as the grass bends to the ground
Undeterred, she climbs another
When it remains upright she flies off
finding another blade that bends to her will
A father and son come into view
talking excitedly as they pass by
on their way to the playground
enjoying the moment
on this rare sunny afternoon
The ladybug, undisturbed
continues to explore and experiment
but it’s time for me to leave her
and return to a different reality

So much said here, but so much more implied. A “perfect” moment, a feeling of bliss, rejuvenated in a timeless instant…
Thank you for sharing this moment… 😀

Lovely words, Carol. Your writing so often contains words beneath the words–a lovely moment in nature, for example, like today, that is also a teaching. Makes me think of a Mary Oliver poem I read recently: “. . .now//he said, and now//and never once mentioned forever.” (excerpt from One or Two Things. Thank you, my friend.

Hearing from you is such a gift, Pat. Thank you for your thoughtful comments, and for reading beneath the surface. Nature often illuminates deeper meanings and metaphors for me. I try to share those with others in simple ways. I send my best wishes to you, dear friend.

Not exactly. Trust me, you are closer than your mind leads you to believe. Just a little more of effortless effort and pap! You shall be there.
