Sometimes, one doesn’t have to travel far
to observe serenity and beauty with beloved companions

Even in the context of critters, city “upgrades,” and unpredictable weather

sometimes there are possibilities to create little sanctuaries

to enjoy a simple life and share love and laughter

weaving deeper appreciation for things that matter
knowing that these precious moments will pass
with the ever-changing seasons of our lives

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments, Ken. Our summer has been rather unpredictable. One week, it’s rainy and daytime temperatures hover in the mid-50s F in July, and the next it’s dry with high-80s F. Even so, the gardens grow and that’s a good reason to be grateful. 🙂

Hi Carol, your post resonated with me. Lovely photos and words. Your Granddaughter looks very happy leading Pinto (or was it the other way around?). Lisa have just arrived back from the city where we spent a wonderful time with our children. The Joni Mitchell song is fitting and beautiful. Take care. Bob

I have been trying to keep up with info about the BC fires, but there’s very little in the US news. I hope you are all safe. ❤
