Carol A. Hand
Am I just a shadow,
a corporeal presence blocking light?
A ghostly apparition,
a transparent being barely visible to sight?
Or am I made of stardust,
a spirit glowing with an inner light?
Is my essence ultimately just a culmination of context, chance, and choice?
Crucial questions to consider – photos help give them a voice.

Thank you, Bernadette. (I had fun playing with Word’s picture tools to see if I could capture what I saw in my imagination…)

I just noticed, August 28, 2016? Did i have another episode and miss the last two weeks, or am I just dense?;-)

I don’t believe so!!
I still hold to the strong notion that there is more to life than what we can perceive with only our five senses.

Ah, Dave. It’s always good to hear from you. I admit that I believe as you do – that there is more to life than we can see. But I also know we share another perspective – the meaning of life and the purpose for our existence are still worthy of frequent conscious reflection…

We are more than just flesh, blood and bones!
And we are not alone, Carol!

These photos kind of disturbed me. They made me think of the recent bombing anniversaries of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. My son has been teaching me about anime lately. It is such an amazing art form and over and over again I see images and themes of a people’s reflections on these terrible events and how they have reverberated throughout the entire society. What I think is remarkable is I keep seeing amazing wise stories of spirit and transformation. Like you: glowing with an inner light.

Thank you for sharing such powerful and important insights about images – their ability to convey both horror and its converse – spiritual transformation.
